Tampa, Fla. (May 2, 2017) – On May 6 and 7, the National Association of Underwater Instructors (NAUI Worldwide) returns to Long Beach, California, as a sponsor and exhibitor for Scuba Show 2017 and host of the International Conference on Underwater Education (ICUE or IQ).
‘Today, scuba is again in a period of great change,’ said NAUI Executive Director, Dallas Edmiston. ‘New challenges to maintaining and growing the popularity of our sport; changing approaches to teaching and learning; new frontiers in diving technology and techniques, including the popularization of specialty diving fields; new marketing techniques; and the increased use of digital platforms need the attention of all of us. Together, Scuba Show and IQ provide a platform to discuss and address these industry changes in an open and constructive forum.’
This year IQ is being held in conjunction with Scuba Show. The purpose of IQ is to create a forum for renowned industry professionals to present the latest advances and concepts in educational theory, diving skills, safety, physiology and dive medicine, equipment improvements, and marine science to divers and diving professionals from across the globe. For a complete listing of the IQ speakers, schedule and seminar descriptions, attendees can download the IQ 2017 Program. Along with a distinguished list of speakers, several conference originators and organizers will be in attendance and recognized for their contribution to IQ and the diving industry as a whole. This conference is open to divers of all agencies.
On Friday, May 5, NAUI invites both non-divers and divers of all agencies to attend a special evening reception aboard the Queen Mary to celebrate the conference and recognize NAUI members who managed several successful IQ events. Invitations extend beyond ICUE attendees and offer guests the opportunity to network and mingle with presenters and NAUI leaders. Reception reservations will automatically enter attendees in the IQ Atlantis Dive Week Raffle. To register for the reception, visit https://www.eventbrite.com/e/naui-icue-reception-tickets-31030988522.
Throughout the weekend, several current NAUI leaders and Board members will be on hand to answer questions and talk about NAUI – past, present and future. Scuba Show and IQ attendees are invited to visit Booth 305 on the main show floor and learn what makes NAUI the Definition of Diving. While at the booth, visitors are encouraged to pick up an iconic ,NAUIDuck and NAUI Scuba Diver Passport, an exciting training product that was recently relaunched alongside a new eLearning platform.
Those who can’t attend IQ can still support the event by entering to win the seven-night dive vacation at either Atlantis Puerto Galera or Atlantis Dumaguete Dive Resorts & Liveaboards in the Philippines. This vacation includes deluxe accommodates, meals, unlimited boat diving, and more. Anyone may enter the ICUE Atlantis Dive Week Raffle at https://go.rallyup.com/naui-icue.
