NAUI SEES INTERNATIONAL EXPANSION

NAUI experiences excellent international reach through its membership.

Tampa, Fla., (April 22, 2016) – The National Association of Underwater Instructors (NAUI Worldwide), a leader in recreational scuba diver training and certification, continues to experience excellent international reach through its membership. NAUI Executive Director Dallas Edmiston and Training Director Randy Shaw are currently conducting Course Director and Instructor Trainer Requalification Workshops and Member Updates throughout the Pacific Rim.

Having recently returned from Canada and the Middle East, and with workshops scheduled for Europe next month, NAUI’s leadership has been impressed by the attendance at these events.

‘I am excited to see the enthusiasm and commitment to the NAUI values and brand by our international partners and members,’ said Edmiston. ‘This is my first time visiting our members in these areas as executive director. I can’t say enough about the passion and excitement they have displayed for NAUI.’

As an example of NAUI’s continued international development, Mr. Thommie Sylvander was recently named as the NAUI Worldwide Representative for Sweden. Sylvander has more than 20 years’ experience as a NAUI Instructor. He became a NAUI Instructor Trainer in 2004 and completed his Course Director Workshop on April 15, 2016.

He was appointed by Richard Lucas, of NAUI Services Europe, to his new position. Sylvander will assume responsibility for all NAUI business development and leadership growth in Sweden.

‘NAUI is committed to developing more international opportunities for our members and divers,’ added Edmiston. ‘We will be aggressively working with our partners to continue our momentum in this area.’
