NAUI Launches ‘Dive TEAM Report’ Podcast
The National Association of Underwater Instructors (NAUI Worldwide), a leading recreational dive training and certifying agency offered Worldwide, will unveil its new syndicated podcast series, one each day of DEMA, starting on Nov. 4, 2015.
NAUI’s ‘Dive Team Report’ is designed to inform the general public and divers on trends and issues affecting the sport. Topics covered in the report by host and NAUI Divemaster Greg Martin will include dive safety, training, equipment and environmental awareness. During DEMA, NAUI will release four demo versions before the first full episode airs on Nov. 12, 2015.
‘The goal is to be a weekly source of information about diving and the environment,’ said Martin. ‘Our aim is to provide a venue for divers, manufacturers and interested individuals to learn more about the sport and the opportunities it provides for fun and adventure.’
The podcast will appear on NAUI’s website, YouTube channel, and iTunes as the ‘NAUI Dive Team Report.’
‘Research shows that the percentage of Americans ages 12 and over who have listened to at least one podcast during any given month has risen from 15 to 17 percent, which is about 46 million people,’ said NAUI Executive Director Dallas Edmiston. ‘That’s just in the U.S.! Imagine the possibilities for increased awareness when you factor in the global reach of web-based communication tools.’
NAUI remains the pioneer in dive training and education and continues to lead as an industry innovator and trendsetter. The ‘NAUI Dive Team Report’ is just one of many new products, services and tools NAUI will be unveiling during 2016. NAUI members and the dive community will notice a new level of excitement and involvement this year as NAUI moves to reestablish its role as an industry leader.
