Tampa, Fla. (April 17, 2018) – Officially launched on April 9, 2018, NAUI Worldwide is pleased to announce the arrival of its completely redesigned enterprise management system, ushering in a new era for NAUI’s online member services and business operations.
NAUI CORE presents Certifications, Online training, Resources and Educational material and provides a convenient hub for accessing and managing member and diver accounts, training and eLearning resources, NAUI products and promotional items, the latest NAUI news, and much more.
‘Transferring nearly 60 years of data and information to a completely new online system required careful coordination and planning to ensure a smooth transition,’ said NAUI Executive Director, Dallas Edmiston.
‘There are many additional features and components planned for NAUI CORE,’ said Edmiston. ‘Future enhancements will add even more functionality, including tools for today’s diver and translations to serve an international community.’
Designed with input from NAUI members, business owners and students, CORE provides users with information and tools connecting them to the world of diving and NAUI. The initial rollout of CORE was just the first step in providing NAUI members, affiliates and divers with one of the most comprehensive and integrated training and certification systems in the diving industry.
‘I think CORE looks great! It’s easy to navigate. All of the member resources are in one convenient location, and we will now be using the online certification tool to certify students, which means no more registration forms to fill out by hand. This will be especially useful given that our operations are international and liveaboard-based,’ said Course Director Trainer Kat Daniel (NAUI 31958) of affiliate SeaTrek BVI.
As with any online platform, some functions will be available on the public website, but access to the full range of tools in NAUI CORE will require users to log in to an existing account or create a new user account. Upon logging in, users can expect to find a full suite of options as well as experience interactive consumer features, premium user options, and supportive tool tips.
NAUI affiliate Underwater Oahu literally couldn’t wait to ‘check out’ the new CORE. On launch day, Instructor Mike Matzinger (NAUI 54687) became the very first member to place an order using the new system. With CORE, affiliate benefits are more comprehensive and accessible than ever before, allowing for extended financial benefits and collaboration among the Association’s worldwide membership and service centers.
With CORE’s enhanced information technology infrastructure, the general public and global community of divers have more access to NAUI facilities and instructors, training programs, resources, and products than ever before.
‘NAUI CORE is the one-stop-shop for everything the enthusiastic NAUI professional or NAUI student needs,’ said Edmiston. ‘We are excited about the new capabilities packed into NAUI CORE, but this does not mean our job is done. We are already busy preparing for the next phase of development and couldn’t be more optimistic about the future of NAUI.’
