DAN Enhances Return To Diving Guide With Video

DURHAM, NC – July 7, 2021 – Divers Alert Network has enhanced its popular Return To Diving guide with the launch of a video in support of the program. Available at DAN.org/Return, the guide has helped thousands of people get back in the water safely in the past few months. Now, this new video brings the guide to life, highlighting the essential elements of a safe and successful return to diving after time away.

Accidents and incidents are much more common in divers’ first dives after being out of the water for a while, and many people are now preparing to dive again after more than a year off. With this guide DAN is encouraging everyone to review and address potential problems and ease themselves back into the water.

“We’re really pleased with the response to our Return To Diving guide,” said DAN president and CEO Bill Ziefle, “and we think this video will help get this important information in front of even more divers. DAN’s vision is to make every dive accident- and injury-free, so it’s important to us to reach as many people as we can with this relevant and practical advice for preventing injuries.”

Check out the video and the guide, and share them with the divers in your life.
